- Church Treasurers’ Training
- Local church treasurers are entrusted with a sacred responsibility: to manage the financial resources of the church with integrity, transparency, and diligence. Their role is not merely administrative—it is a ministry of stewardship that supports the mission of the church, builds trust within the congregation, and ensures accountability before God and the community. As churches grow and adopt more structured governance systems, the need for treasurers to possess both foundational accounting skills and practical financial management tools becomes increasingly vital. In response to this need, the Arusha Adventist College (AAC) has organized this 4-day capacity-building training to equip local church treasurers with essential competencies in budgeting, record-keeping, reporting, and ethical financial practices. The training emphasizes hands-on learning in areas such as income and expenditure tracking, use of spreadsheets, preparation of financial statements, and digital archiving. It also reinforces biblical principles of stewardship, honesty, and service. By strengthening the technical and moral capacity of treasurers, this program seeks to promote operational excellence, financial transparency, and faithful leadership in church administration. This initiative affirms that when treasurers are well-trained and well-supported, churches are better positioned to fulfill their spiritual and social mandates with confidence and credibility.
- February 16th to 19th 2026
- Church Clerks’ Training
- Church clerks play a foundational role in the life and governance of local congregations. As custodians of records, correspondence, and membership data, they ensure that the church’s administrative functions are conducted with order, transparency, and accountability. Their work supports pastoral leadership, strengthens institutional memory, and upholds the integrity of church operations. In recognition of this vital role, the Arusha Adventist College (AAC) has organized a 4-day capacity-building training to equip local church clerks with essential skills in basic records management. The training focuses on practical competencies such as accurate minute-taking, membership documentation, correspondence handling, digital archiving, and ethical stewardship of information. It also introduces participants to modern tools like spreadsheets, email systems, and digital filing—ensuring that clerks are prepared to serve effectively in today’s evolving administrative landscape. By investing in the growth of church clerks, this program aims to foster a culture of excellence, reliability, and faithful service in church administration. It affirms that well-trained clerks are not only record-keepers but also stewards of trust, communication, and continuity within the body of Christ.
- March 2nd to 5th 2026
- Church Elders’ Training
- Local church Elders serve as spiritual shepherds, moral guides, and administrative pillars within their congregations. Their leadership profoundly shapes the integrity, unity, and growth of the church community. In an era of evolving challenges and expanding responsibilities, Elders must be equipped not only with biblical wisdom and pastoral sensitivity, but also with practical leadership skills, ethical discernment, and strategic vision. This 4-day capacity-building training, organized by AAC, is designed to strengthen the leadership competencies of church Elders across Northern Tanzania Union Conference. The program focuses on key areas including servant leadership, conflict resolution, governance and accountability, mentoring youth and women, and integrating technology into church administration. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and contextual reflection, participants will explore how to lead with humility, clarity, and courage—anchored in Scripture and responsive to local realities. By investing in the growth of Elders, this initiative aims to foster churches that are not only spiritually vibrant but also administratively sound, socially engaged, and mission-driven. The training affirms that empowered Elders are essential to nurturing faithful congregations, promoting ethical stewardship, and advancing the transformative work of the Gospel in every corner of Tanzania.
